EAA Chapter 1410 High River, Alberta Canada |

Jack Dueck has been a homebuilding enthusiast throughout his aviation career, now spanning fifty years. As an impoverished college student, he and two partners scraped together the money to buy a crashed airframe and restore CF-PII, an Aeronca Chief, 11AC. Later came a Luscombe restoration, then a RV4 that flew in 1999, and then in 2000 a joint project, an RV9A with his wife, Jean.
Jack and Jean have lined up another Luscombe for restoration, and as most homebuilders, between major projects, are contemplating any new paths their interests may lead them. For Jack, ‘homebuilding equals—and sometimes supersedes the love of flying’ although “I wouldn’t like to be without either.”
